New Spongebob Squarepants: The Cosmic Shake Gameplay Trailer Drops
A brand new, gameplay-focused trailer for Spongebob Squarepants: The Cosmic Shake, the spiritual successor to 2020’s Battle for Bikini Bottom: Rehydrated, was recently released by developer THQ. While the game does not have a release date at this time, its fans can likely expect further updates in the near future, and the game is set to release on PC and other consoles at launch, including Nintendo Switch.
Spongebob Squarepants: The Cosmic Shake Gameplay Details
Previously announced back in 2021, Spongebob Squarepants: The Cosmic Shake is a new 3D platforming adventure set in the iconic Spongebob Squarepants universe, following an all-new adventure in which Spongebob and Patrick must travel between different periods, including the Wild West, Prehistoric, and more, to save the very fabric of the universe! The official synopsis reads as follows:
Wish-granting Mermaid’s Tears in the hands of SpongeBob and Patrick… What could possibly go wrong?
Sure, the very fabric holding the very universe very together could come very undone, opening up portals into Wishworlds full of knights, cowboys, pirates, and prehistoric snails. But that’s nothing everyone’s favorite Sponge can’t handle – with the right cosmic costume!
Everybody do the Cosmic Shake!
Spongebob and Patrick must now travel across time and space to right their wrong, unlocking a variety of new and familiar skills and tools along the way, including Fishhook Swing and Karate Kick, and don more than 30 iconic costumes and gear!
Players will travel to 7 distinct Wishworlds and experience buddy movie-style banter as the duo set off across the multiverse!
