F-Zero and Star Fox Main Artist’s Debut Manga Omega 6 To Get A Cool Switch Game in 2023
Japanese developer Happymeal has confirmed that it is developing a new game for the Nintendo Switch alongside Takaya Imamura, the former main art director and character designer for both the F-Zero and Star Fox series.
The game will be based on Imamura’s new debut manga, Omega 6, and will release sometime in 2023.

Takaya Imamura is an artist who worked for Nintendo from 1989 till October 2021, and during his time served as the main art director, character designer, and story writer for both the F-Zero and Star Fox series.
Following his departure from the company, he began work on his own original manga project, titled Omega 6, the official description for which can be read below:
After months of cryonic suspension in their spaceship, Thunder and Kyla are finally awake. They are bounty hunters, and the target they were chasing after has finally been located on an average planet. But just when they thought they’d make short work of him, their opponent Petrogaze turns out to be much tougher than expected…
Now, Omega 6 will be receiving a 16-bit retro-style science-fiction text adventure game for the Nintendo Switch sometime in 2023.
Developer Happymeal, most famous for developing the Mystery Guide series, will be handling the development. The story of the game will be more of a spin-off of the original manga, focusing on a new set of characters, along with unique battle mechanics to compliment the text adventure gameplay.
Imamura will handle the game’s overall art direction and graphics.
