Everything Revealed for Switch at Yacht Club Games Presents 2022

Yacht Club Games Presents 2022 was held yesterday, and there was a fair amount to take away from it. News on Shovel Knight Dig, DLC for Shovel Knight Pocket Dungeon, and a brand new title launching on Kickstarter were the highlights! We here at Nintendo Link love Yacht Club, so this presents was highly anticipated and delivered tremendously.

Shovel Knight Pocket Dungeon update and DLC

Yacht Club Games announced a new update and DLC for Shovel Knight Pocket Dungeon, which will include a new character called Random Knight.

The update will be comprised of accessibility options, bug fixes, and quality of life improvements. Random Knight will appear in camp after recruiting a few knights, and they will randomly become one of your unlocked characters.

There are three DLC packs planned for the title, too. Online functionality is planned for matchmaking and a ranking system. Other elements include new playable characters, enemies and bosses, and even more.

Shovel Knight Dig in “final stages of development”

Shovel Knight Dig, which was first announced in August 2019, has received a status update from Yacht Club Games, and there was also information about a new Grub Pit area. According to the company, it’s now “in the final stages of development and nearing completion”.

As for Grub Pit, it’s a bug infested area. From Yacht Club, “We’d also like to present to you another new area you’ll discover as you descend into the earth. Welcome to the bug infested depths of the Grub Pit! Even if you’re just passing through, these creepy crawlies don’t take too kindly to intruders. Make haste while digging through the Carnivorous Dirt – it will retaliate by releasing its deadly spikes! Other foes like the Rolling Beeto will roll toward you with giant balls of… something. Yuck! Use your Shovel Drop to stay above the fray. When you reach the bottom of the nest, you’ll encounter another member of the Hexcavators… a certain bug-loving spelunker, perhaps?”

Mina the Hollower is Live on Kickstarter

Yacht Club Games unveiled Mina the Hollower during Yacht Club Games Presents 2022 as one of its latest projects! This is an action adventure title featuring an 8-bit aesthetic, though it’s been “refined for the modern era.” Yacht Club says that the title “may remind you of classic titles like Castlevania, The Legend of Zelda: Link’s Awakening, or even Bloodborne.”
