Axiom Verge 2 Delayed Again, This Time to Q3 2021
Thomas Happ, the creator of the Axiom Verge series, has confirmed today that the long-awaited sequel Axiom Verge 2 has been delayed again and pushed back to Q3 2021. The title was previously targeting a soft Spring 2021 release.
In an interview with IGN, Happ shared that Axiom Verge 2 “will be better for the additional time.” The delayed time will also allow Happ to avoid burnout and crunch. The game was originally planned to release in 2020, but circumstance and a pandemic got in the way. Sadly, the Spring 2021 release is outside the realm of possibility now, but like Miyamoto once said, “A delayed game is eventually good, but a rushed game is forever bad.” Knowing how the original Axiom Verge turned out, we are confident that Axiom Verge 2, despite its delays, will follow suit.
