The Panda Controller has officially launched on Kickstarter, and it no time flat, the new GameCube controller blew past its funding goal and is still taking off after only one day on the crowdfunding site.

The Panda Controller is the next evolution of the 20-year-old GameCube controller that is still used to this day. The highest quality parts used in this new controller cause it to be ready for competitive play (we have a pro team after all!) out of the box, and powerful customization features that let you form this controller to your hands.

Check out the trailer:

The Panda Controller is also jam packed with advanced features for the most serious of GameCube enthusiasts, also known as Melee players, to know they’re in good hands. For a technical breakdown and walkthrough of the advanced features in controller lingo, check out the video with PGhardware’s president and lead engineer Matt Samperi! See the graphic below that for the cliffnotes.

Now that the controller is out there, they are promsing you all the transparency you can stomach about their development timelines and milestones with 1-2 emails per month! The Panda Controller is a very precise machine, so to make sure that no part is a single millimeter out of place they have to do their due diligence. There are plenty of storms on the horizon with supply chain and shipping difficulties, but they feel good about what they’re putting forward. They can promise that the Panda Controller you’ll be holding in your hands will the best possible product they can make.

The controller looks absolutely amazing, and if you are interested, we highly recommend heading over to their Kickstarter page and consider backing. They have already unlocked a ton of stretch goals, and they are surely going to unlock more based on their current momentum.

The Panda Controller tier of the Kickstarter is $90, so this is a rather expensive GameCube controller. However, based on the people handling it and the incredible features added, this looks to be absolutely worth the price, especially if you are on the competitive Melee scene.
